SO why not vaccinate?! Perhaps it's because God says not to....

After reading a few awesome articles recently posted by doctors, scientists, PHDs and parents doing more and more of their research, since our government and medical agencies refuse to create and do the studies and research FOR us, the people....the tides are starting to change about the validity, and most importantly, the safety of vaccines.

SO, as a Christian, and I am speaking to my Jesus peeps here, not asking anyone else to care unless they are truly curious as to why they need to be concerned about vaccines...why do we parents get a knot in our stomach as soon as our Peds mention giving our child the next round of vaccines?!
Even if you have been convinced they are necessary and safe??
Could it possibly be that God is speaking to you through that still quiet voice of His, that your pastor constantly talks about on Sundays but you constantly wonder what it actually sounds like?

I believe this is EXACTLY it...because God wants to protect His Children...and this is exactly why us mama bears have built in "stress-o-meters" or aka, a direct line from GOD on how to keep our children alive AND healthy while growing them up, under our care.

If you have not read this amazing article that I and my other Christian non-vaccinating mama friends are sooo very excited about, please check it out before reading any more of my words:
http://www.livingwhole.org/god-does-not-support-vaccines/

The HUGE part of my blog that I want to get across, is the fact that so many of us non-vaxers are called irresponsible parents, abusive for allowing our children the vulnerability to get diseases and just plain un-neighborly because we allow our un-vaccinated children in public. WHY are we so persecuted, and given such a mark of evil in this world, when more and more science continues to pop up proving JUST the opposite...just as antibiotics kill alll the good flora and fauna in the gut and leave the body open for more illness and disease, more and more doctors are finding this same fact about vaccines, that they actually destroy the very immune system that every touts they protect...and while we non-vaxers supposedly spread disease, it is actually those who are vaccinated that "shed" the very diseases they are vaccinated for (doesn't that make more sense? LOL)...I am beginning to feel as if we non- vaxers, who enjoy VERY good health and rarely become ill to the point of actually needing medical intervention AT ALL, are becoming the new generation of "Jews" in a sea of Nazi propaganda...
You may think that is going to far, but here are a few facts about what God says if you are not convinced at all about vaccines being dangerous, not only physically, but spiritually for our walk as well.

Will You see, God calls us to be different from the world...a different that will hurt our being popular...not only different spiritually, materialistically and emotionally, like our churches seem only to preach...but WHOLLY different from the World...and now that I have two very healthy children, and see my friends who do not vaccinate also have very healthy kids, I know one of the HUGE reasons why God calls us to be different in every way possible, because he is protecting US and our children from the harm this world continues to try and inflict on those most innocent.
We already know babies are no longer sacredly protected, as they once were in this nation; what makes parents think that doctors and Pediatricians, who will so easily encourage a pregnant woman to get an abortion on a whim, will also push vaccines for the safety of your children? They are doing what they are told, as many of them have no idea what vaccines actually do for or against the immune system, unless one of their children happens to have a bad reaction (as this spurs MANY doctors onto their own journey of research).

There is not only a spiritual battle waging for our spiritual lives for us and our kids RIGHT now, but a physical one as well.

Does the verse come to mind...that the Lord says "let nothing enter your blood" ring a bell? That we should not partake in or of any modern "sorcery", which by definition from the old Biblical language translates into our English language as "pharmacia"? Coincidence?
NO. There are no coincidences to those of us who WHOLLY believe in the word of GOD being perfect and perfectly translatable to our LIVES.

SO, if you believe the Bible through and through, I strongly urge that you start taking a deeper look into how this world says we need to raise, feed, and medically treat our children. Vaccines are one of the best places to start, because they cause a LOT of issues we are now seeing in our children...the worst being cancer, death and autism (aka brain damage), the lesser are food allergies, asthma and autoimmune diseases to name a few of the hundreds of thousands of side effects.

Again, I like to parallel this with a favorite movie phrase..."Take the Red pill and see what really lies on the other side of the reality you think you see before you." I was not a huge fan of the Matrix before this crazy unpopular journey after having my children, but now I am;] AND I truly believe this is what God calls us to do, and I don't think we can reach the next spiritual leap to be closer to God until we take this physical leap from our world, and the battles being waged against our children, and us (especially if your and your children's health is not where you want it to be)...even though, as parents, any battle against our children is far more important than battles against us, because they are our future and our responsibility from the Lord, right?!

Here is another amazing site from a scientist/PHD who was hired by the CDC to "research" immune systems and how vaccines benefit the immune system...well...after alot of her own research she came to realize how harmful vaccines are TO the immune system and how they do the exact opposite of what they say the do...they actually spread disease and create harm to almost every facet of our bodies/lives. Why do you think there has been an explosion of cancer within these past 10 years? Could it be the rise in chemicals, animal DNA and aborted baby cells/DNA they continue to amp up in vaccines??
http://www.naturalimmunityfundamentals.com/home
She now teaches classes and conferences on how to BEST naturally build up the immune system (just as God designed us)

BTW...if we believe in a perfect God, why are we telling Him, His design is flawed, by each and every vaccine and medication we take, instead of seeking His ways first, which are the ways of old, the ways of what the earth gives us to combat every ill known to man??
These things being Herbs, Cleanliness, and past history of those who have come before us and used natural remedies to cure just about everything under the sun!

AND, to finish out my passionate blog on this subject, something I just have come to realize more recently...this is not a new fight/battle for our children, this is not something that has cropped up since the amounts of vaccines have increased since the time we were children (10 vaccines from age 1 month to age 6 in the early '80s) to now our children are subjected to 47 going on 50 within the next year, from age 1 month to 6 years. Hence the huge amount of children, if not ALL children, who are vaccinated, who have some range of autism, asthma and food allergies or auto immune disorders that can also completely destroy a child's personality for the worst!
Thank the Lord He provides healing, STILL,through such methods as food and herbs and other natural elements that we can all seek out through little acknowledged professionals in the field of natro-pathy!
My point being, after reading this history about the Raggedy Ann doll from the early 1900s, I was blown away that there were issues with children dying and parents having their children be vaccinated without consent even then! This is not a new fight...but it's a battle that we all need to stand up for before it gets worse...In my mind, it is already worse since most of today's children are SO VERY ill.
However, vaccines may become mandatory, and nurses across the nation are already facing this and being fired if they refuse the flu vaccine...how much longer do we have before they are doing the same to our children, and to us?
We loose our freedoms if we do not fight for them! So, let's fight and most importantly learn WHY we need to care about the safety concern of vaccines and why the media, government and medical conglomerates are trying to hide this from us, by making us fear diseases our bodies were naturally created to fight! Like the chicken pox!! (BTW, Measles were the chicken pox of our grandparent's day...so funny to hear my grandma talk about how they were not a big deal even back in the 50s, if you were a normal child back then;)
http://www.realfarmacy.com/forbidden-history-raggedy-ann-vaccine-injury/

The only conspiracy I am trying to get you to consider, is the conspiracy to raise healthier children for the sake of Glorifying God AND for the sake of having a healthy family:]

Much love everyone, I only speak out on this because God has told me to do so. I know I will be ignored and made fun of...but I do not care...when God speaks, I listen, and doing so has made my children and family so VERY wonderfully healthy, and I can not keep quiet about this, because it is such a blessing, even though I am a very unpopular mama.
Sincerely,
Melly Belly

Sustainability and Emergency Preparedness go hand in hand!

The two things I love, in one sentence!! Sustainability and preparing for our families future in each of our homes. How can we do this on a budget, even with crushing debt, all the while prepping our scabbards and flushing our homes of needless things in order to become a better working, more peaceful home and family unit, gain more connections in our community, get healthier in the process, and obtain that fuzzy buzz word "sustainability" and come to know what it really truly means beyond the fancy magazines and modern lingo?
If you are already on the road to sustainability, CHEERS, and kudos, it is a fun journey that is also a hobby in this day and age;]
I have homework for you!!!
Please go check out my new favorite book, "Zero Waste Home" by Bea Johnson, a french woman who is rocking our consumerist world right now, while raising her family!

It has been a treat to sneak 5 minutes of reading in, a day, to learn how to better organize my home, and de-clutter all in the name of my family's health, and the wealth of knowledge the betters our earth and children's future.
http://www.amazon.com/Zero-Waste-Home-Ultimate-Simplifying/dp/1451697686

I recently had a close friend warn me, that the "writing is on the wall" in regards to our security and economic luxuries, and that we don't have much time left of freedom or peace here in the United States...and things are going to get very bad on almost every front, politically, economically and naturally (with a whole slew of natural disasters) both world wide and here in the states. Alot of us already have felt/known/predicted this anyhow and have tried our best, within our own separate means and living situations to prep. But how in the world does one prep for the complete unknown, especially when we all feel it may be the worst thing almost any generation as been through? It's a bit intimidating and can quickly lead to fear.
Having knowledge of how to prep, and doing it wisely, slowly and purposefully will help, whether hard times are only 6 months, or 2 years or 10 years away.
We can NOT let it control our lives either, and if you are a prepper, or thinking it may be a good time to consider prepping just a LITTLE to help your family, whether it be for job loss, natural disasters, or an extra long winter, I have ALOT ideas for you, on how to get started, and to not freak about our unknown future. Life is too short to worry about what is coming down the pike and around the next curve at us...it is time to ENJOY now, and prepare for the future!
But how does this mesh with being sustainable, you may ask?
Now, just consider this, if you want to be, or wonder also how to be sustainable in your everyday living, how do you go about it? It seems like sustainability is the "green" buzz word these days, but it is a buzz word because it is saving a LOT of people money, and getting even more people and families out of debt!

Here is the very first idea for you to ponder and take seriously about becoming sustainable in how you live and enjoying a more simplistic home life. Questions: Where do you shop? How often do you shop, and what do you shop for? Are you a gotta-buy-it-cause-it's-on-sale kind of person, or even a browser because-there-is-nothing-better-to-do shopper? These are traps our modern generation has fallen into, and if you are wanting to become not only sustainable, but SELF-sufficient, and as a side effect, prepared for emergency situations, this is the first mind set you are going to have to change!

Think about it:  Wal-Mart and Target AND Sam's Club/Costco layout and plan out their stores so that you can't go in and just GET what you need, they make the basics (produce, house supplies) in the VERY back of the store and put all the fun "goodies" in the front, so you will be tempted to "shop" and buy a lot of stuff you never intended on buying in the first place!
SO, first mind-set/habit change to becoming more sustainable. STOP shopping for what you DON'T need. I can understand if alllll you can afford for food is Wal-Mart, but PLEASE, if all you can afford is Wal-Mart/Sams Club, just stick with the unprocessed food items, it is LESS expensive (this is another marketing trick btw, processed foods, which make us fat, sick and poor) while natural foods are more sustainable to you and your family, and just plain healthier.
The next step is moving more towards buying EVERYthing local. Your food, your clothes, your household goods.
But STOP there for a moment.
Also consider this for a moment: The next step to becoming more sustainable, is owning LESS stuff. A cluttered home is a stressful place. Have you run out of room to put all those random shopping trips of STUFF? And when you have less stuff, and more room in your living space, you will feel more at peace AND be more motivated to continue the sustainable lifestyle goals, which will be stated below!
SO, second piece of homework, which is the action to take part in: Begin to de-clutter your HOME. This always begins with the mind set of "what have I not used for the last year". Start slow if you need to, and take advantage of things like craigslist and garage sales, even facebook to sell the items you begin to realize you can live easier without!
The best part of this piece is that it will also give you a chance to make some money!
Therefore, take a few months to PURGE. There are a few fun websites out there for helping you get started, and stay motivated, and decide how "minimalistic" you want to get, but I tell you, once you start, that alone is the motivation to keep going and reduce, reduce, reduce!
Here is one to get you started in the bedroom closet!
http://www.livingwellspendingless.com/2013/05/24/40-hanger-closet/
This, I feel, is the BIGGEST most sustainable change...having fewer clothes and less laundry:] Especially if they are quality clothes, which will last longer and most likely, look better on you anyhow.
For my kiddos, I honestly only have 5 sets of shirts, pants and undies for them during each season...sometimes more like 7-10 tops/shirts. Only have 2 pairs of shoes usually, so we can afford the more quality shoes, and aren't tripping on shoes every season, or loosing them! Our favorite for the kiddos, since we hike/snowshoe and are outside quite a bit, are Keens.

you would not believe how HARD it is to loose items the more you pear down your belongings and stuff...that is an awesome feeling and way less stressful...when you've 'lost' your keys and it only takes 5 minutes to find them because everything in the house is mostly in it's place, even with kids toys everywhere, and the house only take 15-30 minutes max to pick up before company comes over....this is true success in a household, especially a household with children!!

And another site, which walks you through ideas and the excuses we all make for keeping stuff, and good solutions for how to work through them!
http://www.oprah.com/home/Discover-Your-Clutter-Problem/1
I do believe we as Americans ALL have a clutter problem, and may NEVER be able to completely get rid of the majority, especially if we are married with kids, lol. BUT, getting rid of things, especially when we can get a little money back, is SO motivating, spirit lifting and inspiring for a PEACEFUL home that you will WANT to come home to:]

Another thing to consider, is to start buying everything USED. Start shopping at Good Will and other thrift shops for certain items BEFORE trying to find it new. For example, I really want to get a pressure cooker for cooking dried beans in under 20 minutes, and a cast iron waffle maker before going to amazon or ebay, I have been hitting up craigslist, and Good Will...even though I haven't found these items in the last month, even year for the cast iron waffle maker, I'm holding off, because I know it's going to be more expensive to buy new, even off ebay! AND, I've noticed, when I don't quickly "buy" something and ful-fill my "need" for it right away, my brain does something different. It doesn't crave MORE STUFF, like it used to when I would just go and buy what I wanted on a credit card, or at a store (Like Bed, Bath and Beyond). When I make myself or hubby wait (because we are also no longer using credit cards), our "urge" to buy stuff diminishes! Amazing!
So, second piece of homework, if you haven't yet done it, begin to wean yourself off of these big box stores...cause guess what? If they close their doors when there is a "disaster" because their shelves have been cleaned out, if you have already weaned yourself from not needing what is ON their shelves in the first place, you won't EVEN think about Wal-Mart/Sams Club/Safeway and Frys or even Walgreens, as a needed option for stocking up if and when times get bad FAST, due to a local disaster. Because here is the second part, when you wean yourself off of these stores, and begin to make all the things you used to "think" you needed to buy, not only are you saving your family precious money AND being more sustainable, you have officially become IN-DEPENDENT of these companies wanting your money for no good reason except to make THEM money!

Second part of becoming sustainable and prepared for emergencies.
Start MAKING your own cleaning and grooming products now! Start slow, or do it all at once, however you feel most comfortable. Most of us mamas need to take it slow, due to lack of time and having a lot of products already on hand...so start to find recipes for these things when you being to run out! Here are the examples of what you can make, but just FYI, you can make EVERYthing you currently buy for your grooming and cleaning needs, AT HOME!!
LIST of ideas on what to get started, for trying and making at home!
The beauty of our technology right now is the ease to OBTAIN these recipes...pinterest is an awesome example, but google is wonderful too. Take advantage of these and begin to try them, then make binders or file folders of your favorite recipes that your family enjoys. I will include a few sites I have found with recipes just to show you all how easy it is. And again, it saves you money, is sustainable because of the lack of chemicals in these products compared to what is being bought, AND you may even see your health get BETTER because of these basic ingredients;] Our families' health has surely benefited. Example: hubby's cavities he had 2-3 years ago have pretty much been healed from our baking soda toothpaste, and now bentonite clay tooth powder, coconut oil pulling (which is mouth washing with coconut oil) AND our move to eating all our food unprocessed and as organic as we can afford:]
Grooming:
Toothpaste, http://thankyourbody.com/all-natural-homemade-toothpaste/
deodorant
eye cream
shampoo
hair jel
lip gloss http://foodpluswords.com/2012/03/homemade-mint-chocolate-lip-gloss/
body lotion

Cleaning Products:
All purpose cleaner
carpet cleaner
bathroom cleaner(s)
window cleaner
dryer sheets http://www.savvysugar.com/Homemade-Dryer-Sheets-27044025
laundry detergent http://arealhousewifeandmommy.blogspot.com/2011/09/diy-laundry-soap-over-350-loads.html
dishwasher detergent
furniture polish
hard wood cleaners
mopping solutions
homemade Oxiclean! http://arealhousewifeandmommy.blogspot.com/2011/09/diy-laundry-soap-over-350-loads.html

OK, so these are just a FEW of the cleaning and grooming products you can make according to your household needs; I do think the fun-est part is coming to the realization that we no longer have to BUY it all, and the majority of the time, we have already on hand what is needed to MAKE these products in a simpler, safer form! No longer hiding cleaning products from the kids is awesome...who cares if they suck on the nozzle of my all purpose spray as I clean the carpet or floor? It's just citrus infused vinegar and castile soap, the worst that will happen is they'll get the runs for a bit;]

The second part I want to hit on is Emergency Preparedness. Let us think back a few years...to the Japan earthquake, even though it is harder to put our thoughts into a location and people we are so far from, think about what they went through, after watching "Mega Quake" on Netflix and learning how intensely crazy that earthquake was (the strongest EVER recorded in history at a 9 on the rictor scale!!) and how much they lost and continue to loose with the slow meltdown of the nuclear power plant, I wonder, how long will it be when we have a similar tragic event somewhere here.

The government says, store at least 3 days of food and water...but is 3 days enough? It's enough to keep you from having to rush with the masses to Wally world and Sams to buy these things off the shelves, but then what? Especially if re-locating to where other family lives is not an option due to other possible factors (like no more gasoline at the stations, or roads cut off)?

The Mormon community encourages at LEAST 2-3 years of supplies! What a neat goal! This is just another reason I LOVE these two buzz words, sustainability and emergency preparedness...and how well of a marriage they make without most of us even realizing it!!

Ok, one more trip down memory lane...remember back now, to Katrina...most of us were also removed from that disaster to a certain extent, not having friends or family there most likely, but after again, watching a few documentaries on the aftermath and even on the slow re-emergence of the community, we need to REALIZE that the government may not or can not come to our aid as we think they will. People were stranded, without water or food, with horrible flooded conditions for over 3 weeks!!! The only ones that helped these people out for that period of time, besides nearby states, were the small businesses and local people who had the aid and resources to give! Local restaurants used the food they had left/stored and not able to refrigerate due to power outage, to prepare and give away to hungry communities right outside their doors!!  And one of my favorite documentaries on Katrina's aftermath and new emerging/evolving community comeback is "Independent America". Go check it out on Netflix! ( I love documentaries...should get a bumper sticker that says that, lol).

SO, with that bit of info now swimming in your head... What is more important to you? To have food and water on hand for any change in our current living standards? Or to pretend we live in a fantasy world where our nation is so secure that nothing like this could possibly happen in OUR lifetime.
OR, perhaps this is the time to start making small changes, especially if you and your family are in debt.
This is the MOST sustainable act to move towards...because once you don't have any "extra" bills eating off of your income, true self-sufficiency and freedom breaks into your life!!
Go check out Dave Ramsey for his debt busting formula, and start today, kill those credit cards and build your savings!!!
http://www.amazon.com/The-Total-Money-Makeover-Financial/dp/159555078X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393783969&sr=8-1&keywords=david+ramsey

One of my favorite things to do these days, now that our family has also moved to a completely unprocessed food lifestyle, is to buy grains in bulk, our favorite grains, and enjoy a plethora of variety in our diet!!

To begin to move in the direction of sustainability, you must start at HOME. The best place to start is your diet, especially if you or your family members have trouble keeping the weight off, health issues that persist (which most likely can be healed with a diet change...just another area to open yourself to learning...food heals just about everything, including autism, Alzheimer's disease and cancer, don't believe me? Start to google it now!) even IF, by the modern world's standards, you are eating healthy. If the weight is not coming off, even when keeping an active lifestyle, there is something wrong.

KEEP IT SIMPLE my bloggy readers, and remember these basics
The best way to eat is to eat like our great grandparents (farmer/local based dairy/meats/produce and grains)
Get enough SLEEP before you even think about exercising...cause sleep is a basic NEED.
Especially for parents with small children...just sleep;]
Get enough SUNSHINE! And if you can't due to weather or even work circumstances, find a safe natural supplement for vitamin D.
These are our most basic needs, do this and you most likely will cut down on the amount of illnesses your family gets on an annual basis by more than half, while loosing weight without much effort!

Also, start to think about the basics you would need, to NOT have to shop for groceries, for two weeks... and go from there in length of duration, and even have a goal of preparing for 6 months to a year of supplies. Our great grandparents did it out of necessity 80-100 years ago just to survive, so it is totally do-able, it has just become a lost knowledge in our convenience and "fast food" driven society. What are the basics? Water, not in small water bottles mind you, but large ones (I would start with 5 gallon reusable containers with spickets and go up to 15-50 gallon if you can via storage abilities where you live), and re-usable water bottles and water filters. Light sources without batteries, old oil lamps (my favorite) and candles and matches or other fire making sources that can make a spark on their own (go check out your local outdoor gear store!). Camping head lamps are awesome to have! Fun as well since they encourage camping, lol.
Long shelf life food, non processed (my preference for nutrient dense foods to get the body farther along in times of trouble), would be dried beans, lentils, oats, rice and canned goods (though I prefer to get glass canned goods for quality and nutrient rich foods). As well as potatoes, onions, garlic and squashes that if stored in the right cool and dark conditions can last over six months (this is how our great grandparents got through winters btw:!)

Another quick self sustaining idea for you all and then I'll end this post, which could inevitably go on forever, because, as a part of becoming self sufficient for emergency preparedness and better health and sustainable living in general is becoming a DIYer, simply by learning how to cook with the best and basic of ingredients, as well as learning how to do a lot of things from scratch...garden, fix broken items in the household, buy quality USA made items as much as possible, hike and camp more, for learning how to live off the land and gain family time together to grow in the right direction and exercise of course:D

My word of advice, LEARN. Pick a topic of interest (food, cleaning, earth made energy like solar, metal working, bee keeping, gardening, animal raising) and don't stop learning. The best thing about throwing yourself into a new "hobby" for self-sufficiency is the fact that you will not only grow, but you will most likely meet and make friends along the way who will help you meet your goals and create a more complete community.

THAT, my bloggy reading on-line friends, is the MOST important part (secret) to becoming prepared for any emergency AND becoming sustainable in every aspect of the word...COMMUNITY. We can not establish, create, grow or thrive by ourselves, we just can't. We must have others to help us in every aspect of life. That is the way the human race has been designed. We do our best work when we work together.
SO, go out there and kill that debt, prepare your family for an emergency (whether it be a job loss, natural or economic), and get yourself away from having to rely on OTHERS, especially the places you are forced to shop right now for your most basic of needs. And DO NOT stop LEARNING.
Because when we stop learning, our spirit dies, and then the body follows.
Toodles bloggy buddies, and to our future, may we flourish and thrive no matter what is thrown our way...we must start with our neighbors and local community, however!
CHEERS!

These parenting days...oy.

BI-polar-ism, it has landed in this household. I truly believe anyone who says they are bipolar, is because they are a parent...anyone else who says they have it without children, should watch babies and toddlers by themselves, 8 hours a day minimum, for at least a month without a weekend, and then realize what mind control they have given up to the pharmaceutical companies. HA.

One moment I'm happy as can be, my world is decently organized, dinner ideas popping into my head, and super excited to have all ingredients in my household.

The next moment I'm raging inside because older sister has picked up her sister and dropped her upside down while trying to put her in "her puppy jail". With me yelling as baby is screaming.

Next five minutes, I'm apologizing for yelling at older sister.
In the following five minutes, I've left the room to try and start the laundry, and baby sister starts screaming bloody murder, I rush to see what has happened and ask big sister what is going on...she has this innocent look on her face, which I know is a lie. Can't get the truth, as I'm now trying to settle baby girl down, trying to determine if it was self induced OR if it really was sister induced. We'll never know.

And this continues all. day. long. Moments of calm, hours of raging emotions. Leaving the house is better, but alot of the time I would rather stay in and have a day of controlled naps, eating food, and select chore time and a bit of mommy down time by stealing 5 minutes here and there to read, or see what my mommy friends have texted me for the weekly options on playdates or fb updates.

Then I look down and baby girl is chewing on big sisters dirty shoes...or we've missed a pee...or sister has taken the living room and her room to a new level of destroyed in less than 5 minutes flat, but hey, she wasn't watching Curious George:D
Or my phone has gone missing in 2 minutes and big sis has re-programmed it and now baby girl has it in her mouth...wondering if I need to blow dry it??

ahhhh bi-polar-ish should ONLY be a stay at home parent "ism", as anything else is just a physiologist trying to make some money on a diagnosis, that we allllllll know, sunshine, walks, exercise, and nutrient dense food WILL cure, as well as enough adult talk time and a good work environment (again, not a non-parent issue!!!)
LOL
ahhh once again...mine as well laugh, cause you know you'll cry if you DON'T...
now on to pinterest to find an inspirational breakfast for dinner idea!! Because it's been one of those days.
Toodles my parents, and stay away from the drugs...even overdosing on caffeine doesn't help...and if the sun isn't being your friend today...go watch some bloopers, or your kids slapping each other in the face or what not...enjoy a quick quiet laugh, then tell them it's not appropriate;]
xoxo
-Melly

p.s.
I had the wonderful opportunity to threaten my toddler, that if she doesn't clean up her toys by the time daddy gets home, I won't make scones for dessert and those said toys, will disappear for a long period of time (which usually means forever, in a toddlers time zone).
I have a feeling I'll be once again cleaning the living room, but I'm eager to find out if this "disappearing toys" act will work in our household, by following through with it...cause other friends have said it doesn't work...guess we'll find out once all the toys are gone....oh well, they'll seem like new when they come back out in a few months;D

Wal-fart, who really needs them?

Yep, harping on Wal-Mart yet again, cause personally, our economy and lack of good jobs for the lower classes and destruction of small businesses since their inception into our society is mainly THEIR fault. Greed, and all the other box stores who have bought into Wal-Mart's sales model, are at fault.
Guess what?
EVERYONE is going to pay soon, if not already, for shopping their 'low prices' and 'china crap'
Honestly, I don't understand why so many people are addicted to Wal-fart.
Seriously, after kicking them to the curb over 3 years ago, I buy less, save more, and focus our family dollars on WAY better food and products.

The only thing I am guilty with, is the fact that I still have and use a Sam's Club account...still trying to break the ties to that lynch mob of a bulk store tied to Wal-mart...I too can not find bulk vinegar, contact solution, and ECOs laundry soap for a better price. But I think I'm gonna have to just take my own advice and buy those 3 things somewhere else, just so we don't have to shop there anymore!!
Only thing I'm proud of is the fact that I don't need to go re-stock these items except for every 6 months...that fact alone has me searching out other places for these items I need, so we can cut the cord of dependence to Sams fo-pa Club, lol.

If I can ditch Wal-fart and Targ-pet, so can you! And if I can ditch Sam's Club this year for better buying options, so can you;]

Cause guess what? the only way we are going to re-establish a better economy and save our country from the economic ruin we are destined for, is by investing our dollars in our own local economies and doing our best to change habits; buying less junk, finding more local options for alllll of our needs!
I can't tell you how awesome it is to need something, search for it on FB or craigslist and get it for a quarter of what I could have bought it new! I may have had to wait 2-3 months or weeks, but who cares, we Americans are also addicted to "FAST and NOW", it's one of the reasons Christmas time is so horrible in this country, we've lost all self control and patience for the most simple things in life!

AND, I'm saving all that extra money to spend on preventative care and health by buying EXCELLENT quality food and making my own cleaning and grooming products, where and when I can!

SO, tell me again why Wal-Mart is a must have in your household? Give me a serious reason, and I'll give you an even more dire reason to STOP.
Did you know those grumpy and un-helpful employees of Wal-Mart (even Target is guilty) that aren't helping you with ANYthing, is due to the fact that they are considered full time employees at 28 hours?! And at minimum wage, on top of that, their own employer says, "we can't afford your health care, so go apply for medicaid". WHICH, btw, we are allll being forced to pay more for each year, as there are no more government funds to pay for this, except for those of us that are blessed with decent and good paying jobs!

PEOPLE. please Listen, The ONLY way we are going to change ANYthing in this country, is person by person, and you can start by how you spend YOUR ONE dollar, your grocery money, your clothing money, your furniture money, and yes, even your entertainment money.
The possibilities for saving money other than going strait to Wal-hell, has never been better!!
AND, if you are trying to pay off debt, you REALLY need to consider learning how to become a Do-It-Yourself-er
If you are raising kids, you realllly need to learn how to thrift shop, make toys, WITH them even, and make sure the toys you DO have aren't increasing the toxic load of you household (did you know families with autistic kids, take all the plastic toys away, along with a diet change, and end up changing their autistic child to a highly functioning practically normal child, in every wonderful sense of the word?!)
SO, that could also explain your kids random bouts of ADHD...plastic is sooo toxic!
And Wal-fart is notorious for plastic...know where that plastic goes after you are done with it? China, India...yep, those poor kids and families over there get to pick through our plastic crap and try to make some use of it...all while burning the bad stuff and getting sick for the fumes.
Cause really, who is going to throw a wooden toy away? when it breaks you can FIX it, when you are done with it, it either becomes a family heirloom for the next kids or it is passed on to friends, or sold. Have you seen a wooden toy sold on facebook? The things are practically rioted for, and for good prices. The plastic toys? Those can't even be given away for free...they are ugly, annoying, usually require batteries, and leech bpa and other many toxins directly into the skin when touched.  Plastic is made to be disposable.
Don't get me wrong, plastic has a wonderful place, it has just been OVERkilled...now that we can not possibly get away from it without appearing like a crazy hippie who only wants to touch trees and lick bees.
Honestly though, plastic is the new addiction in our day and age, that should be seriously sifted through in each of our homes and passed on for items of old, or just for the purpose of having less, because less is soooo much more, especially if you are raising kids!
Think Barbie for a moment, a fine and PERFECT example of the generation we live in and are teaching our kids to be a part of, the Barbie Song for example: "I'm a Barbie girl, In a Barbie world, life in plastic is fantastic" Do we really want our girls, especially, growing up to be Barbies? Expecting mom and dad to pay for everything, including the spending habits we are teaching them, through our own ways in our households?
NOPE.
Just think, every dollar that you spend, not only at Wal-fart, but at the dollar stores, Target, and yes, even Babies to Kids, goes to China...and I'm not even talking about the people of China, we are talking, the GOVERNMENT of China...who suppresses and kills their own female citizens.
SO, why aren't we all focusing on keeping our dollars here, with us...and buying better quality items, better food, and creating better jobs...and for goodness sake, if we can't find it American made (which has been or problem lately trying to keep ALL of our dollars here in the USA), then MAKE it! Saving time in this country has been our "excuse". NO MORE friends, no more.
Because of these shopping habits, all those time savers in our life has flipped us upside down and sucked that same time away from us.
I don't know how else to get everyone to seriously consider a STOP to shopping the big box stores...cause the dollars are only paying the rich CEOs, encouraging them to stay greedy and richer...while making our world a more crummy place with more poverty stricken individuals who can not pay for even taking their kids to the doctor when a serious illness hits because they can't afford (or led to believe) they can't afford good food.
REALLY, do we want this?
You decide, with your dollar. Want tips on how to start getting out of the habit and enjoy the fact that YOU TO could skip the mayhem and craziness of Wal-fart by never placing a foot in their store again?
Check out Pinterest, craigslist, facebook selling groups. Go to Thrift Stores, go to Etsy with all those dollars saved and support AMERICAN artists and crafty stay at home moms!!!!
I will always give tips and tricks that we have learned...the learning never stops! And when you learn, you grow and thrive!
Another reason I DETEST Wal-fart...cause they make things so easy for everyone, that once you are fully dependent on their "cheap" prices and china crap, you mine as well just hand your entire paycheck over to them, cause you are also handing them your health and life!
Why do you think the majority of Walmartians are overweight and sick and riding in those annoying little wheelchairs that move erratically on their own??? Because their products are toxic. I Guarantee, the week and months following the end of Wal-Mart in your house hold, you will see a positive change in your life...can you handle that?
Whether that be loosing weight, gaining energy from unknown sources (like the sun), depression quickly leaving your brain, and the foggy-ness for over-processed food, also breaking you into a real knowledge of what Wal-Mart stands for: The destruction of the human race, one American zombie human at a time.
Seriously.
Think I'm crazy?
Have Netflix? Go check out "Store Wars" and my new favorite about New Orleans in recovery mode "Independent America"
Then come back and tell me what you have learned. (did I just dish out homework?! Yessss:)
